A native of Akron, Ohio, Kyle Bernlohr is no stranger to North East Ohio. Bernlohr was a four-year letterwinner at Western Reserve Academy, earning first team all-league honors three times and then moving on to one of the premier college lacrosse teams in the country at the University of Maryland. Bernlohr was one of the top goalies in the MLL last season and helped the Ohio Machine win the organizations first championship in 2017. During his time between the pipes in College Park, the Terps set program records for single season victories in 2015 (15) and 2016 (17). A member of four NCAA Final Four teams, he helped the team to three NCAA Championship game appearances in five seasons.  Upon graduation, Bernlohr was selected with the 11th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 MLL Draft by the Ohio Machine.
